Why every figure has a date on it
A number written in the present tense starts lying the moment it changes. "More than 50 shops use DailyPlus" is true for a while and then quietly is not.
"More than 50 shops were keeping their register in DailyPlus on 20 August 2026" stays true forever, and it needs nobody to remember to update it. So that is how we write them, here and everywhere else.
