How we build
How we build, and what we will never do
The promises we intend to keep, and the reason behind each one.
Offline first, not offline later
Everything is written on the phone the moment you tap, and the online copy catches up afterwards.
Built the other way round, an app shows a spinner in a basement shop on a wet afternoon. That is most shops, on many afternoons.
The worker’s screen is free, and stays free
It is the trust promise of the whole product. A worker who cannot see his own days is the argument we exist to end, so it will never sit behind a price.
The only line we will draw is the number of workers
Never a feature, never your backup, never your months of history, and never your worker’s app. The pricing page explains why each of those was rejected as a place to charge.
What we will never do
- We will never lend money, and never charge interest.
- We will never score anybody for credit.
- We will never show an advertisement.
- We will never sell your shop’s information to anybody.
- We will never make deleting your account hard to find.
We would rather say "not yet"
An unbuilt part of the product appears on exactly three pages of this site: the vision, the roadmap and the changelog. It never appears in a feature list, a comparison table or a piece of schema.
An owner trusts a company that says "not yet" more than one that says "everything", and the first kind is easier to keep being.
No dates on anything unbuilt
A date on a roadmap is a promise in writing. We publish the order instead, and we keep it.
Start keeping your register on your phone
It is free, it works with no internet, and setting up your shop takes about three minutes.
