Plain cells, no adjectives. Where a cell says to check their listing, it is because their answer is theirs to state and a stale claim from us would be a false one.
When a paper register is the better choice
- You have one worker and pay him the same amount every month.
- Nobody in the shop has a phone they can keep charged.
- You are required to keep a signed physical register, which some inspections still ask for.
How we think about it differently
We did not try to replace the register. We copied it. The same three marks, the same order, the same words — because the register works, and what fails is the counting and the second copy. Keep the book too if you like it. Many of our shops do, for the first month.
Moving your records across
- 1
Step 1
Add each worker with the wage you already pay.
- 2
Step 2
Start marking from today. Do not type in old months.
- 3
Step 3
Keep the paper register beside you for one month, then stop when the count agrees.
Questions people ask
Do I have to type in my old register?
No, and we would not. Start from today. Keep the old book for the old months.
Can I still keep the paper register?
Yes. Most owners keep it for a month while they get used to the app, and then it stops being worth the effort.
What if my phone dies during the day?
Mark it later. You can mark any past day, so a dead battery costs you nothing.
Start keeping your register on your phone
It is free, it works with no internet, and setting up your shop takes about three minutes.
